Pageview measurement & privacy

False Green uses Microsoft Azure Application Insights to count browser pageviews. We send the page path, site name and event time. Query strings, URL fragments, referrers and visitor or session identifiers are excluded.

Pageview measurement does not use cookies or browser storage. Microsoft receives the request's IP address and may derive an approximate location; our Azure resource uses its default IP masking. We use aggregate counts to understand readership.

We skip measurement when your browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Ad blockers may also prevent measurement. This does not affect access to the site.

The site's separate theme preference is saved in your browser so your chosen appearance persists. This pageview setup does not load advertising.
